CARBONNIEUX

Robert Parker – 91/100 Drink 2009-2024

Crisp honeyed grapefruit, white currant, and some smoked herbs are present in this classic, textbook dry white from Pessac-Leognan. The texture is gorgeous, and the wine aromatic and pure. Drink it over the next 15 years.

Neal Martin – 91/100 Drink -

Tasted blind at Southwold ’06 Bordeaux tasting. This is rather muffled on the nose, a faint spearmint note, moderate definition with cooking apple and kiwi fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grapefruit, apricot and lime, good acidity, well balanced with a fresh, primal finish with frangipane loitering on the aftertaste. Tasted January 2010.
