ASSEMBLAGE: 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 42% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Carménère Robert Parker – 90/100 Drink 2012-2025 This outstanding effort displays loads of cassis fruit interwoven with notions of espresso roast, white chocolate, and menthol. It possesses a terrific front end, good mid-section, and moderately high tannin in the finish. Approximately 15,000 cases were produced. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. Jancis Robinson – 17/20 Drink 2011-2017 “A good effort here in a wine that is softer and sweeter than its Mouton stablemate d’Armailhac. Very very dark blackish purple. Nice spicy nose, very round supple start. Attractively open, if light, nose already. A certain meatiness on the nose and then pretty light on the palate with dry tannins on the finish. Not tarted up, perfectly honest, but probably slightly lower yields would have yielded a slightly more interesting wine. Just a little bit too much inkiness rather than body. Honest though. Amazingly forward. Lots of black cherry fruit then the fine tannins and, just, sufficient acidity. Good classic Médoc if not necessarily Neal Martin – 90/100 Drink 2010-2020 The Clerc-Milon 2004 has a taut blackberry, smoke and raspberry-scented nose with very good definition and focus – real class here. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine svelte entry, fine tannins with a good structure underneath. Very pure and focused, a coquettish little Clerc-Milon with a vibrant finish suffused with great nervosite. Drink 2010-2020. Tasted November 2008. |

| CLERC MILON Pauillac - 2006 5ème Cru Classé en 1855 - 39.00 € | |||
Château Clerc Milon, classified a Fifth Growth in 1855, consists of 107 acres of vines, planted with the typical varieties of the region : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Carmenère. Adjoining two Pauillac First Growths, Lafite and Mouton, the estate had become somewhat neglected when it was bought by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Parcels were consolidated and many technical improvements were made, including the building or a new tank room and these efforts are now bearing fruit as Château Clerc Milon has become one of the most sought after Médoc wines, displaying richness and depth comparable with the region's finest.
